How to View the Digital Diskette Catalog

    Read carefully before building your catalog!

    It is important to keep the following procedure before starting the digital catalog production:

  1. Create an image folder for image files(JPG) and put all image files in this image folder for which you will use to insert the image files in your catalog production later.

  2. Create a text folder for text files(TXT or RTF) and put all text files in this text folder for which you will use to insert the text files in your catalog production later.

  3. Create an empty folder in C drive to save the catalog file later and designate the folder(directory) name. It is recommended to create the empty folder in C drive directly rather than passing through many other paths.

  4. Save your catalog file in this empty folder in C drive.

  5. Never change the file name or folder(directory) name as well as path(location). Changing the file name or folder name or path(location) will cause error when you open the catalog file next time.

    How to View the Digital Diskette Catalog

  1. Open "My Computer" in Window 95.

  2. Insert the catalog file diskette in Floppy A Drive and double click Floppy A Drive.

  3. You will see three files in the diskette received:
    setup.0
    setup.exe(with icon)
    setup.ini

  4. Double click setup.exe(with icon).

  5. After a while, *Setup Catalog* window is appeared. You can see Install Directory as C:\Catalog Folder(or other folder name) as the path name already designated. Just press *Next* button and you can see Copy 0% and Extract 0% progress bar. Press *Install* Button. Then, all the files will be stored in a folder/directory where designated. Press *Finish* button.

  6. Find "Catalog" directory located in C drive. Open "Catalog" folder and you will see many data files. Double click sample1.exe(this is a sample file name designated by the author.)

  7. Now, you can view the catalog. There are "Tree Off" and "Tree On" on the top screen. Click "Tree On" and you can see the full screen like internet home page. That is, there are Home - Back - Next - Slide buttons on the bottom screen. Clicking Slide button will display different images(product picture) moving here and there on the screen. Also when you click the category link bar on the screen, it goes to the relevant category page. To view the detailed categories, click "Tree Off" and you can see more detailed categories on the left screen. You can adjust vertical line to make the screen wider or narrower. This sample file is to show you a belief introduction of World-Land Co. So, you can build your own catalog as you wish in different designs.

    Trouble Shooting

  1. Label can not be seen.

    When you insert many labels in one screen, they are hidden behind the upper left production board. In this case, you have to move each label box and you will see another label box inside.

  2. Text box or image box can not be seen.

    When you insert many different text box or image box in one screen, they are hidden behind the upper left production board. In this case, you have to move each text or image box and you will see another text or image box inside.

  3. Screen is frozen and no moving when converting the catalog files into HTML file

    Please wait for few minutes as the computer will read all the data to convert into HTML.

  4. Text is broken in DOC file.

    Please use .RTF or .TXT file.

  5. This is not Hwowsun file(.wow).

    Locate files with extension name .wow.

  6. Please run "Make" first.

    Select Make in Project menu.

  7. Sorry, I can't open JPG file.

    You have to save the catalog file(*.wow) in an extra folder. Also do not change the file or folder name. Always use the same path name

  9. You did not put the project title.

    Choose Project menu and select Project Control and type the title.

    You have to save the catalog file(*.wow) in an extra folder. Once the catalog file or folder name is designated, do not change the file or folder name.

  11. Failed to open the file.

    Save the file first. Also you have to save the catalog file in an extra folder where image and text file folders are located.

  12. Please go to the first category.

    To print or fax the Order Form, please go to the first category to show up sub-category or sub-item name.

  13. Not enough disk space.

    Please check if the catalog file is in the Hwowsun program folder. If the file is in the Hwowsun program folder, move the catalog file to an extra folder where image and text file folders are located. Also please ensure that the diskette is empty.
